PERSONALITY.   Prior to her augmentation,Cevilia was a lively soul. She was always friendly to her fellows and handled all tasks with aplomb. She did have a tendency to talk too much though, and despite her positive nature, still found ways to annoy her superiors. Currently, she is curt, sliding between sharp-tongued and apathetic.  BACKGROUND.   Raised in a lowborn family, Cevilia was the middle child and only daughter of a Duskwight family that had remained in Ishgard in service of one of the minor houses. Her parents were attendants of the house, and while Cevilia was meant to be an attendant of the family's young son, the family thought her outspoken and affable nature detracted from their son's privilege. After a few years she was sent, along with her eldest brother, to serve under the knights, where she became a page. She served in her role, which mostly consisted of delivering missives to and from her Lord, although on occasion, she was able to show off her prowess with a bow. During one such trip, her small company ran afoul of the Vanu Vanu, leaving her grievously wounded and requiredto be sent back to Ishgard. Along the way, an Ishgardian Highborn took interest in her particular aether and had her delivered instead to their care, reporting her as dead upon arrival to the city. For the next few years, she was studied, dissected, and experimented on. Her body was piece by piece replaced with magitek as the Highborn sought to try to replicate Allagan technology as a means to improve their standing. And in the end, there was no miraculous rescue or soft hearted bystander that saved; Cevilia's body was simply discarded with the refuse once the noble thought she had passed during one of the operations on her brain. But through happenstance, or simply fortune, Cevilia's sturdy aether kept her from staying dead, allowing her to drag herself from the frozen wastes of Coerthas. For what, however, she didn't know. Her brain was irreparably damaged from the trauma and constant operations, to the point she doesn't even remember her own name correctly. Only kept alive through her body's self-repair, she dragged herself back to Ishgard, but less than two steps into the city, the bloodstained and raggedy Duskwight was beset by the Temple Knights. Unable to properly indentify herself, she was set upon to be arrested, but promptly slaughtered all of the knights present before disappearing for a time.
